Strong against hate online: strategies for dealing with it safely

As part of the Diversity Month at Volkswagen and Volkswagen's volunteer program "Gemeinsam Engagiert", we are offering you the opportunity to volunteer online for one hour on May 8 under the guidance of the association Deutschland sicher im Netz e.V. (DsiN) on the topic of "How do I counter hate online in a safe way?".

Hate and digital violence are widespread online and affect many people - both professionally and privately. The workshop teaches how digital violence can be recognized and what options for action exist in specific cases.

As a participant, you will learn how to react appropriately to hate comments, how to protect yourself and how to take preventative measures. In addition, the psychological effects of hate online will be discussed and support points and helpful resources will be presented.

The aim is to strengthen your confidence in dealing with challenging situations in the digital space and to provide you with concrete strategies that are suitable for everyday use.

The course: 

The workshop takes place digitally. Participation with a laptop/tablet is necessary.
