About the volunteering opportunity
Help us set up and install a water and mud landscape in the garden of a residential facility for children. The water and mud landscape invites children aged 3 and over to play and experiment: Build up water, let boats sail and playfully discover how a sluice works. If time permits, we will also set up a natural seesaw.
Your Tasks
As part of this activity, the following tasks are to be carried out under the guidance of a master carpenter:
- Fitting and fastening prefabricated boards to posts
- Shorten boards with the jigsaw if necessary
- Shorten posts with the electric reciprocating saw
- Attach drainage channels
- Round off elements with the sanding machine
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
Enjoying manual work is an advantage.
What to bring
Please wear comfortable and robust clothing. Tools and work gloves will be provided on site.
Snacks and drinks will be provided. We would start with a small lunch snack and then get to work.
